To help everyone kick off and wrap up their week of adventure at Camp smoothly, here is your go-to page to view our Opening Day and Closing Day procedures. Before you hit the trail to Camp, double check which session your camper is attending (Trails, Timbers, Roots, or Quest) so you don’t get mixed up in the wrong drop-off/pick-up area!

Where To Go

Here is a helpful link for more directions on arriving. If you end up at our administrative office with a black gate and very small parking lot, that is the wrong entrance and you will need to turn around. But no worries, it is just a 5-minute detour!

Timbers & Roots Sessions
Opening Day starts at 2:30PM on Sunday afternoon.
- Before you leave your house, decorate your car to show everyone that you’re coming to Camp! (Some of our favorite art that we see shows off Alpha/Omega team pride or announces first-time campers)
- Entering through our main entrance, arrive at Check-In, drop off any medications, get a lice check, and receive cabin assignments. (We recommend campers with long hair to arrive with their hair down or in a simple hair style for their lice check)
- Drive to the Timbers parking lot to drop off luggage, then park and walk to cabins.
🧳 Campers will receive their luggage later that night, so make sure to pack bedding separately so they can go ahead and set their bunks up!
Closing Day starts at 10:30AM on Saturday morning.
- Check-Out starts at 9:40AM. You are able to pick up your camper’s luggage starting at 8:30AM, however, you will have to wait in your car if you arrive before 9:40AM.
- Make sure to arrive no later than 10:15AM for the Closing Program that starts at 10:30AM.
- After the 10-minute Closing Program is over, you can reunite with your camper!

Trails & Quest Sessions
Opening Day starts at 3:30PM on Sunday afternoon.
- Before you leave your house, decorate your car to show everyone that you’re coming to Camp! (Some of our favorite art that we see shows off Alpha/Omega team pride or announces first-time campers)
- Entering through our main entrance, arrive at Check-In, drop off any medications, get a lice check, and receive cabin assignments. (We recommend campers with long hair to arrive with their hair down or in a simple hair style for their lice check)
- Drive directly to your camper’s cabin and walk with them inside, bringing all luggage and bedding.
- Feel free to stay for a few minutes to help your camper get settled in and talk with their counselors.
🚗 There might be a brief wait in your car before getting out if there is a full campsite while other parents drop off their campers.
Closing Day starts at 9:45AM on Saturday morning.
- Check-Out starts at 8:30AM. This is the earliest you can pick up their luggage, before heading to the Welcome Center.
- Make sure to arrive no later than 9:30AM so you don’t miss out on watching your camper participate in the Closing Program that starts at 9:45AM.
- After the 10-minute Closing Program is over, you can reunite with your camper!

If You Have Campers in Both Trails/Roots and Timbers/Quest Sessions

If you are dropping off campers for both Trails and Timbers sessions, arrive to Camp on Sunday at 3:00PM! That way you are not too late for Timbers Check-In (which starts at 2:30PM) and not too early for Trails Check-In (which starts at 3:30PM).
Opening Day
The Check-In process for both campsites are the exact same – only the drop-offs are different. You will go to the Check-In area all at one time and complete Step 2 of Opening Day. After you are done checking in, you will go to the Timbers parking lot and drop off your Timbers camper first. After, you will follow signs that lead to Trails, and you will drop off you Trails camper last.
Closing Day
For Closing Day, you will pick up your Trails camper first after their Closing Program, and then all of you can walk back to the Welcome Center parking lot and drive to the Timbers parking lot to attend the Timbers Closing Program and reunite with your older camper!
