Step into a role where you’ll lead, connect, and grow with a new group of campers each week. As a cabin counselor, you’ll take part in fun activities, embrace adventure, and share the Gospel with kids on a daily basis.
Dive into an unforgettable summer and play a crucial role on our Recreation Team as a lifeguard. You’ll be in charge of ensuring the safety and fun of our campers during a variety of water activities in our beautiful lake, pool, and boating areas. Don’t worry if you’re not certified; we’ll provide Lifeguard Certification training. This position is a full summer commitment.
Join our dynamic Boxwoods Team where you’ll collaborate to plan and deliver top-notch activities and programs for all guests and campers at our Lake Livingston property. In addition to ensuring a smooth flow of recreational offerings, team members will handle tasks such as logistics, setup, and working closely with group leaders to execute events and programs seamlessly. Your role also includes contributing to guest service, facilitating recreation activities, handling tasks like trash removal, meal service, retail support, and maintaining our facilities. This position covers the entire summer season, from May through August.
Be part of the energetic Carolina Creek Team, where you’ll work alongside others to create and deliver outstanding programs and activities for campers and guests across our Carolina Creek property. Beyond coordinating recreational experiences, team members take on responsibilities like organizing logistics, setting up spaces, and partnering with group leaders to ensure events run smoothly. This role involves supporting guest services, leading recreation activities, assisting with tasks such as trash pickup, meal service, and retail operations, as well as maintaining our facilities. The]is position covers the full summer season, from May through August.
Get your hands dirty and learn how to serve camp behind the scenes. This position is reserved for campers entering 12th grade as a first staff experience at Cho-Yeh. For two weeks you will serve in countless ways while learning how to apply the Gospel to your life and what it takes to build a strong community of believers.
Learn what it takes to be a counselor at Cho-Yeh! A two-week position for graduating seniors that gives you hands-on experience as a cabin counselor. Get the chance to grow and be challenged, while also making an impact on our camper’s lives!
Take the helm and lead watercraft activities for both Summer Camp and Boxwoods campers at Lake Livingston. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing activities like tubing, banana boating, and boat rides. As a boat driver, your priority is to ensure a safe and enjoyable boating experience for our guests, all while assisting with guest service, organizing recreation activities, meal service, retail, and facility upkeep. This position spans the full summer season, from May through August and includes comprehensive boat driving training.
Create compelling and engaging content for Camp Cho-Yeh’s blog, website, social media and other promotional content. Great for journalism, communication, marketing, or public relationships majors.
Join our dedicated health center team, collaborating with certified nurses around the clock to ensure the well-being and hydration of our campers and staff. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medication distribution, providing first aid, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment throughout the week. This role is an ideal opportunity for those aspiring to pursue a career in nursing or the medical field. This position requires a full summer commitment.
Yes! Summer staff earn a weekly salary for staff training and during the summer. While working at Cho-Yeh, your housing and meals (except during your time off) are provided, keeping your expenses minimal. There’s also an opportunity to receive a significant scholarship just for working at camp. For those traveling long distances, assistance with transportation costs like flights or gas may be available. It’s a chance to earn money, gain valuable experience, and have an unforgettable summer!
We are willing to work with your schedule to make working at camp a reality for you! We understand that your life outside of camp is busy and you have other obligations to take care of. Certain positions at Cho-Yeh require that you are present for the full summer, while others have the flexibility to work with your summer needs. We want our staff to succeed in their future, so we are passionate about helping them do so. We have a summer staff scholarship that any staff member who works a minimum of 5 weeks at Cho-Yeh can apply for in order to help with tuition expenses. Applications are open now and due April 15th. Working at camp provides great opportunities for professional skill development that will help prepare you for your future career, parenthood, & marriage! As a staff member, you’ll be supervising, coaching, mentoring, and leading others. You’ll learn project management skills, conflict resolution, communication, and administration of details. These leadership development opportunities have been proven to stand out on a resume and impress future employers. Spiritual growth will occur through personal time spent with God, staff Bible study, and devotion times with fellow staff members in a community much like the early church in Acts 2.
Cho-Yeh provides campers with a variety of opportunities to challenge them by trying new things while having a lot of fun too. As a staff member, you will be working alongside your peers to ensure that the campers have the best time possible during their stay at camp. Our schedule varies based on the day of the week, but here is an overview of what your camper can expect on a typical day at camp.
